The biggest AMA event in the history of Bitcoin will start today, with none other than Bitcoin Core developer Gavin Andresen, and Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire. Over the next few weeks, a ton of Bitcoin industry experts and enthusiasts will be answering any and all questions coming their way. All of the action will take place on forum.bitcoin.com, where free speech and anti-censorship are two of the main priorities.
Gavin Andresen and Jeremy Allaire Kick-off Bitcoin AMA Event
Over the past few years, AMA sessions with prominent figures in the Bitcoin industry have been gaining in popularity. Unlike what most people may want you to believe, the Bitcoin community is fairly open to discussions and debates, although it has been difficult to find a proper place for these conversations. After the multiple reports regarding censorship on /r/Bitcoin, the time has come to find a new platform for Bitcoin AMA’s.
Later today, forum.bitcoin.com will be hosting the first two sessions of the largest Bitcoin AMA event in the history of this disruptive digital currency. Kicking things off are Bitcoin Core developer Gavin Andresen – a person well-known and respected by just about everybody in the community – and Jeremy Allaire – CEO of popular Bitcoin exchange Circle.
Mark your agendas for 9 AM Eastern Standard Time, as that is the time when Gavin Andresen will be available to start answering questions. Even though most people will know who Gavin Andresen is, he is best known as the Lead Bitcoin Core developer, as well as being the Chief Scientist of the Bitcoin Foundation.
Over the past few months, there have been quite some debates regarding the future of Bitcoin, and what can be done to make the digital currency more appealing to mainstream consumers. If you have a specific question for Gavin, make sure to submit your thoughts to the Bitcoin.com forum during his AMA period.
From 10:30 AM onwards, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire will take over the wheel of the AMA bus, and answer your questions as quickly as possible. Jeremy has a lengthy history in the world of business and finance, including holding a CTO position at Macromedia and Founding Brightcove a few years later.
Circle has been working hard to be one of the more convenient exchange platforms to buy and sell Bitcoin with traditional payment methods. The company accepts credit card payments, which is part of why Circle has become such a success in recent years. Any questions you may have regarding the platform, or Jeremy Allaire personally can be submitted to the Bitcoin.com forum.
A Quick Look Ahead For More Bitcoin AMA Action
With the biggest Bitcoin AMA event starting in a few hours from now, this is an opportune time to look ahead regarding who else will be participating. At the time of publication, names were scheduled all the way through to December 22nd, and more names and dates are yet to be added over the next few weeks.
Making an appearance tomorrow are none other than Xapo’s Wences Casares, and Open Bitcoin Privacy Project’s Kristov Atlas. Later this week, Patrick Byrne, Bruce Fenton, Jeff Garzik, Mike Hearn, and Asher Tan – among others – will be answering your questions. Make sure to keep an eye on the schedule for all of the latest information regarding this week’s participants.
It is heartwarming to see such a long list of Bitcoin industry experts participating in this grand AMA session. Not just companies are being represented, as individual developers, wallet providers, and other platforms on top of the Bitcoin blockchain are all partaking in this unprecedented event.
